C. Jackson “Jack” Gray, 64

SEPT. 29, 1947 — JUNE 25, 2012

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — C. Jackson “Jack” Gray, 64, Los Angeles, CA, was born September 29, 1947, in Martinsville, IN, to the late H. Jackson Gray and Pansy (Hodges) Gray. He passed from this life on June 18, 2012 in Los Angeles.

Mr. Gray was raised in Baker Township in Martinsville, IN, and was a Martinsville High School graduate with the class of 1965. He was a 1969 graduate of Indiana University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a 1971 graduate of Ohio State University, where he received his Master of Business Administration degree in marketing and finance.

He first became director of corporate growth at Dayton Hudson Corporation in Minneapolis, MN, in 1982. He later was appointed Vice President of corporate development for Woolworth Corporation; progressing to Senior Vice President of corporate planning and development by 1993.

He leaves behind one daughter, Coley Gray; one son, Jake Gray, both of California; uncle, Charles “Bud” Hodges and family of Beech Grove, IN; and cousin, Jim Asher and family of Martinsville, IN.

FYI  this article was sent by Frank Hacker and lists the details on a memorial service for Jack on Sept 30th 2017 at Union Cemetery, 5295 Paragon Rd Time: 3 pm.

Talented man.  Seems he could do it all.   I remember Jack playing "Lola" on the clarinet for the state music contest.  I ran into Jack once in the 90s on the path train when we were both commuting to NY.
